About The Old Bakery bed and breakfast
A warm welcome awaits you
Come and stay at The Old Bakery in beautiful South Norfolk. You'll find us in the Waveney Valley in Pulham Market, a small but perfectly formed, quintessentially Norfolk village, with traditional Village Green, charming period cottages, thatched roofs, a village pub serving good food and stunning scenery.
The Old Bakery is a delightful listed building, with wattle and daub walls and a timber frame, exposed internal beams and bags of character. Dating from 1580, The Old Bakery was established in the reign of Queen Elizabeth I as the main bakery for the Pulhams, although the last baker retired in 1951. The building has been in continuous use for more than 400 years, as a bakery, a restaurant and now as a bed and breakfast.
We have three spacious bedrooms, private parking for guests, and a delightful garden complete with Garden Room. The large, comfortable lounge with exposed beams is warm and cosy in winter and a cool haven in summer.
If a pre-dinner drink, night cap or just a relaxing glass or two takes your fancy, we're licenced and can offer drinks in your room, in the lounge or outside in the Garden Room. We have a wide selection of beers, wine, spirits and soft drinks and always try to have locally produced beverages available.
If your stay is business related, or perhaps you're getting away to work in peace and quiet, we offer free WiFi internet access throughout the property. If you just need to check your e-mail while you're away, you are more than welcome to use our computer.
We can also offer special prices for longer stays of two nights or more at weekends and three nights or more mid-week. Do call us for more information.
